Mud Silk is silk that is dyed in a very unique and organic way. Once the silk fabric is ready to be finished, it is dyed with natural resources such as root, grass and vegetable/berry juices to achieve its colour. It is then washed several times with ironbearing mud, a process that takes four weeks. The fabric is then laid out on the ground for a week where light rays from the sun and moon set the dye.
